Evacuation exercise at UGent
Safety Stewards living at Kantienberg play a key role in maintaining fire safety within their residence. They remain vigilant for any unsafe conditions or malfunctions, especially those related to fire hazards, and promptly report them to the housing department or the University’s Emergency Center. In case of emergencies, they assist with incidents and help ensure that fellow residents evacuate safely and efficiently. During evacuation drills, they are easily identifiable by their yellow safety vests.
