GUM (Gents Universiteitsmuseum)
The Botanical Garden is home to over 10,000 plant species from around the globe, featuring a large outdoor garden with an arboretum, rock garden, and Mediterranean garden, as well as 4,000 m² of heated and unheated greenhouses. Visitors can experience a journey through diverse climate zones: admire giant water lilies in the Victoria Greenhouse, breathe in the scent of citrus flowers in the Subtropical Greenhouse, and marvel at the African baobab in the Tropical Greenhouse.
After the welcome party for international students in Ghent, the Belgian students gave us a campus tour and a museum tour. The museum is not far from the dormitory, Stalhof 49.
