Departing for Belgium via Turkey from Korea
Since there are no direct flights between Korea and Belgium, I had to take a connecting flight. Many people usually transit through Turkey, the UAE, or Finland. Although I’ve traveled abroad several times, this is my first time obtaining a formal visa and moving overseas for an extended stay. I bid farewell to the teaching assistant (a PhD student) I was close with at 1 PM, and then left for Incheon Airport from the University in Songdo. At the airport, I had a final moment with my family at 9 PM before boarding the flight at 11:30 PM.
The plane is flying over the Caspian Sea.
Turkish Airlines provides two in-flight meals on the Incheon-Istanbul route, and the flight duration is approximately 11 hours and 30 minutes. I really enjoyed the meals as they were delicious.
