Toxicity Testing
Dilutions of ionic forms (Ag⁺ and Cu²⁺) and nanoparticles (nano-Ag and nano-Cu) were prepared for comparative analysis.
Silver and copper showed clear cell death differences visible to the naked eye, but their nanoparticle forms (nano-silver, nano-copper) did not show such visible differences.
Cylindrotheca closterium cultures were exposed to various concentrations of AgNPs, CuNPs, Ag⁺, and Cu²⁺.
Cell death across different concentrations was tested using microscopy, chlorophyll fluorescence, and photosynthesis as parameters.
